Balanced Man Scholarship

The Ancient Greeks believed in developing a Sound Mind and a Sound Body as the way to live a fulfilling life. SigEp adopted this philosophy with the Balanced Man Ideal and since 1990 has awarded the Balanced Man Scholarship to some of the best students coming to campuses around the nation.

In order to better recognize the balanced individuals of Utah State University’s campus, the USU chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon the Balanced Man Scholarship (BMS).  The BMS awarded $1,750 in scholarships to incoming freshman this Fall.  The BMS recognizes the balanced individuals that have worked hard to graduate from high school and are now entering their collegiate careers.

The Balanced Man Scholarship is a means whereby Sigma Phi Epsilon may give back to the college community as well as encourage academic excellence and the balanced man ideals, by which SigEps live, among its peers. Please note that applying for or accepting the scholarship is in no way a commitment to Sigma Phi Epsilon. The award has been created solely to recognized individuals that are living the value and standard of the Balanced Man Program.

We are No Longer Taking Applications for 2009-2010 School Year.  If you wish to apply next year as an incoming Freshman check back sometime in April 2010!
