Small Market Car Next Year Exploded
Kia Indonesia predicts, the small car market next year could explode. The trigger, regulatory restrictions on the type of fuel that Premium government issued next year.
“My prediction, growth and hatchback city car will be greater than the national market,” commented Sukmono Hartanto, Marketing Director of PT Kia Mobil Indonesia (KMI) in Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (26/10).
Hartanto rate, restrictions on the use of Premium force consumers to choose vehicles that sip fuel consumption. City car and hatchback, he added, had over, economical fuel consumption. Nevertheless, low MPV still remains to be excellent.
This year, the national hatchback market is predicted to reach 55,000 units. Until September 2011 only, this segment has penetrated 41 000 unit sales. Because of that Kia hopes the launch of the all-new Rio hatchback helped boost shares.
“Our sales target was grandiose, 300 units per month. This figure is calculated from the market, supply and demand,” explains Hartanto.
Until the end of the year, targeting sales of 10,000 units of the IMA was still led by the Picanto. Hartanto admitted quite optimistic to achieve the target even though the first nine units of 4961 recorded a new Kia.
“We hope Rio can increase sales of about 1.000an units until the end of the year. It’s hard, but could still be achieved,
